The story of Edgar Morin, sociologist, philosopher and “planetary humanist”, is intimately linked to that of a city that deeply marked his thought: Paris. Capital of heart of Edgar Morin, symbol of the resistance and the commitment of the thinker, Paris has hosted all the great events of his intellectual, political and love life. From Montmartre to Saint-Germain-des-Prés, from the Porte de Versailles to the Marais, Edgar Morin goes back through his life through the different districts of the capital, while evoking the foundations of his “complex thinking”.

The world-renowned thinker, with his works translated into more than 40 world languages, participated in the Struga Poetry Evenings in Macedonia in 1990, visiting the land of some of his ancestors. Morin is a member of the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts outside the working composition of the Department of Art.
